Bus riders find pluses, but not without stress, as they adjust

WORCESTER — WRTA riders this week are adjusting to new bus schedules and routes at a new hub next to Union Station.
The changing scenery was a welcome upgrade for many, with a large canopy shielding the terminal from heavy rain.
“One of the advantages is the folks can get out of the elements,” said WRTA administrator Stephen F. O’Neil.
He said that when the changes were implemented Saturday people were glad to sit in the $16.4 million facility at 60 Foster St. and avoid the sun. The covering will especially come in handy during the winter, Mr. O’Neil said.
