Beginning Dec. 1, residents have another option of getting to Worcester. Bus service provided by the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) will begin that date as a trial service.

The trial period for the bus service will last until the end of June next year to see if residents are truly interested and whether it is a needed service in town. At the end of the trial, town officials will determine whether to continue the service.

The bus service will be offered two days of the week, Wednesdays and Fridays, 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. both days. The route will begin at Anna Maria College on Sunset Lane in Paxton, continue with stops in the center of town and at Tatnuck Square in Worcester and finish at Worcester’s Union Station Hub. Return back to Paxton will be the same route in reverse.
